What is Empowered Conference?
Stonepoint Church's Empowered Conference is a one day resource for women as they seek to grow in their faith. The one day conference is designed to equip ladies of all ages toward deep relationships, authentic friendships, and a daily devotion to Christ and His church.

Becoming the woman Christ wants us to be is a journey, and we desire to partner with women and give opportunities for guidance and support as we seek to daily depend on Christ and His Word. We hope that you will consider joining us for this one day event in September, as we seek to use this day to connect you with other like-minded ladies as you pursue Jesus together.

Feel free to invite friends, family, and other ladies in the area that you think might benefit from the event.

Conference Breakouts

The Empowered Conference will involve Main Stage teaching and two schedule times of Breakout Sessions. Below are the Breakout Session times and summaries so that you can begin thinking and planning out your day.

  • Bible Journaling

    11:00-11:30am

Interactive Bible journaling is a way to express our understanding of the word and document our journey of what God is doing within our life. We will be creating visuals to connect to our spiritual experiences.  We will learn and share techniques to get you started in journaling.

    Speaker: Desiree Engledow

  • How Do I Really Love My Husband?

    11:00-11:30am

We know from Scripture that God created wives to be helpers to their husbands and also to… dare we say it…submit to them as well. But what does this really mean and how do we live this out, even in difficult times? Join us as we discuss some practical ways to honor the Lord as we love our husbands.

    Speaker: Claressa Barrett

  • Preschool Moms: Worshiping in the Chaos

    11:00-11:30am

How do we find time to spend with God in the toddler tornado? How do we teach our young ones to worship and love God from a young age? Come meet and fellowship with other moms

as we learn to focus our lives on God and intentionally raise our children in a life of worship.

    Speaker: Caroline Fogle

  • Prayer

    11:00-11:30am

Philippians 4:6 says “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.” Do you pray about everything?  Almost all of us recognize that our prayer life could use some improvement.  We will explore why we should pray, what to pray, how to pray, and when to pray. We will also go over some practical tools that can help us in our prayer life.

    Speaker: Sheena Cannon

  • Single Women: Guarding Your Heart in the Waiting

    11:00-11:30am

The season of singleness can be short-term, long-term, or for a lifetime. In this breakout session we will be discussing our current mindset on matters such as dating, love, and marriage and allow God and His Word to transform our thoughts in these areas. We will have a greater understanding of God’s love right where we are and that he has a plan for our lives.

    Speaker: Ashley Laughlin

  • Moms of Teens and Twenties

    2:00-2:30pm

No matter the age of the child, parenting presents a unique set of challenges.  Strategies that work with younger children may not work with older children (and vice versa).  When those children enter middle school, high school, and adulthood, what new roles and strategies must parents take on during these older years to help children stay true to their faith & values, and not fall to peer pressure and the ways of the world? Join us as we discuss some techniques for guiding older children, maintaining solid relationships with them, and helping them navigate their teenage years into adulthood.

    Speaker: Sara St. Clair

  • Spiritual Gifts

    2:00-2:30pm

Throughout life we learn about our natural talents, interests, and our personality. We are each made uniquely for specific Kingdom purposes. We are born with certain characteristics, while we acquire others over time.  When we follow Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we are given spiritual gifts from the Holy Spirit to allow us to function in a particular role within the body of believers.  Through a personal assessment, we will discover our individual gifts in order to have an impact for the Kingdom.

    Speaker: Ashley Laughlin

  • Missions

    2:00-2:30pm

Being on mission gives us an opportunity to see God transform the lives of people, not only those we serve, but our own lives as well. In this session we will discuss how to be on mission for God in our communities, our nation, and across the world.

    Speaker: Sheena Cannon

  • Becoming Women of God’s Word

    2:00-2:30pm

Have you ever wondered what it really means to study God’s Word?  Are you sometimes stuck, not knowing where to start or how to go deeper?  Or maybe it just feels like you are checking a box but not getting much out of it?  In this session, we hope to “demystify” what it means to study God’s Word and give some helpful ways to make it more meaningful.

    Speaker:  Claressa Barrett

  • Titus 2 Women: A Lifetime of Ministry

    2:00-2:30pm

Women Need Other Women! We were made for fellowship, companionship, and friendship. Whether you are a younger woman who could benefit from the experience of someone who has gone before you or whether you are a mature woman desiring to know how best to serve the body of Christ, come join us as we take a look at how Titus 2 encourages us to mentor one another.

Speakers: Pat Lamborn & Claudia Oliver
