A Journey Group is a small group of people who commit to invest in each other relationally to help each other love God and love people more fully. Most Journey Groups gather weekly to pursue friendship, Bible study, prayer, accountability and encouragement.

At Stonepoint, Journey Groups are our best "front-line" system of care and support for people facing challenging times. Basically, Journey Groups are our primary means of adult disciple-making and spiritual formation. Robert Mulholland defines spiritual formation as the process of becoming conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others. We don't want to "have groups" simply for the sake of helping people experience community. We hope our groups experience community for the sake of participating in God's kingdom work in the community!

We hope that you will find a Journey Group and begin the process of connecting to people, as we connect to God together. The writer of Hebrews implores us to "encourage one another and to let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."  In essence, a Journey Group spurs you on to love people, to do good to people and to live a life bigger than your own!
